Writing with Purpose

Workshop-style collaborative course on the writing process and the purposes for writing.

Description

Students will utilize the writing process and investigate the purposes for writing (entertainment, persuasion, and information) in this collaborative workshop-style course. We will examine the six essential writing elements (ideas, sentence fluency, organization, word choice, voice, and conventions) and explore a variety of appropriate publishing formats. Course assignments will include editing exercises, grammar study, and writing.
