For all students making the transition to more independent studies and want to learn great habits.

Description
This course is highly recommended for all students who are making the transition to more independent studies and for those who desire to have the benefit of learning great habits to make them a successful student! In addition to learning the seven habits, we will be going through the SOAR study workbook to learn how to implement practical ways to become a better student. We will find out what kind of learning style works best for your child so they can effectively study, learn time & task management methods, organizational skills, note taking strategies, goal setting & communication skills. This class is geared for 7th - 9th grade and these habits and skills will be used throughout high school and college.

Students need 3 things:
SOAR Study Skills Book; Jan 2017; ISBN-13: 978-0977428007 OR Jan 2015 ISBN: 978-0977428052 Note: If you buy a used version, please make sure it is not written in.
Student planner (showing a week at a time)
Binder System (Pick 1 system)
If keeping all KDO subjects in one binder then get:
(1 each) 3 ring binder (1 1/2") (with pockets on the inside & back flap)
3-hole punched poly folders (ie: Avery Poly Binder pockets) 1 per subject
If keeping a separate notebook for each KDO subject then get:
(1 each) 3 ring binder (1" or whatever size is required) per subject (with pockets on the inside and back flap) Notebook paper
