Bridges basic math skills to more advanced algebraic concepts to prepare students for Algebra I.
Description
This class will bridge basic math skills to more advanced algebraic concepts to prepare students for Algebra I. There is not a prerequisite class, however, students should be able to perform all math operations on whole numbers, integers, fractions, and decimals. If students plan to take higher level maths in high school, such as calculus, they should take Pre-Algebra in 7th grade. A useful guide for math curriculum includes: 7th grade: Pre-algebra 8th grade: Algebra I 9th grade: Geometry/Pre-Trig 10th grade: Algebra II 11th grade: Trig/Pre-Calc 12th grade: Calculus
