Description
This class provides students the opportunity to explore and more deeply understand a broad range of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) concepts, including but not limited to, force, motion, and energy through a hands-on learning approach. Working in partner groups, students will utilize a kit of 400 LEGO bricks and a motor to explore and create simple and powered machines to model and better understand STEM concepts. Outside classwork/homework will be minimal but may be assigned weekly. The class will promote and require collaboration and observation and the ability to listen and follow directions will be key to success. Note: this class will have different projects and topics than 2nd Semester so a student can take one or both semesters.
