Interpreting Scriptures
This class is for those who want to learn how to interpret Scripture using Hermeneutics.

Description
Psalm 138:2 says that GOD "has magnified His word above His name" which stresses the importance of knowing what His word is saying. This class is for those who want to learn how to interpret His word using Hermeneutics; the science and art of applying methods and principles to correctly interpret scripture. At minimum, your student will learn how to cross reference scripture and to use a Strong's Exhaustive Concordance to translate words from Hebrew and Greek. Other topics covered are; Linguistics, Cultural, Geographics, Historical Gaps, Context, First Mention through Complete Mention, Covenantal Principle, the Christo-Centric Principle and more. Class time will be spent practicing those skills and learning about other resources that can help in their studies. Students will need to have a Bible and the textbook 'Interpreting the Scriptures' by Kevin J Conner available through Amazon. There will be approx. 1hr of homework per week.
