Description
This semester-long course gets students started in the field of graphic design. With engaging multimedia projects and instructor-led activities, this class is designed to challenge and engage creativity. From designing a book cover to creating marketing materials, this course will give students a strong foundation for success in the graphic design field. Students will explore the following: design aesthetic; industrial design; fashion design; company rebranding; font, web and logo design; character design and animation. This art and design course will introduce students to a variety of design-based careers and projects through using free programs available online including Pixlr, Inkscape, Vectr, Canva, and Adobe Creative Cloud Express. These can be used on a standard desktop, laptop, Chromebook, or iPad.
