Cake Art I
Fondant & Modeling Chocolate

Description
Learn the techniques of Fondant and Modeling Chocolate to add creativity to your cakes. Students will learn to make homemade marshmallow fondant and cover a cake in fondant. They will explore various easy fondant decorations made with cutters, plungers, and molds. They will also learn how to make modeling chocolate and shape 3-dimensional figures. The final project will be a complete cake that the student will design, decorate, and bring on the last day for KDO students and staff to admire and vote for their favorite.
Requirements
and Prerequisites - (if applicable)
Basic class not a required prerequisite as class will review how to make and ice a cake.
A supply list of cake decorating tools (est. $12) will be sent to students before class starts.
