Description
Using Apologia's The Human Body: Fearfully and Wonderfully Made, this high school course continues the study of Biology with a detailed look at the Anatomy and Physiology of the human body. This course is great preparation for those considering careers in healthcare, or for those who have a desire to increase their
knowledge of science. Topics covered will include a detailed look at the tissues of the body on the cellular level, anatomy and physiology of each system in the body, an overview of medical terminology including anatomical terms, review of case studies and evidence-based practice, and diseases/disorders of each system. Class time will consist of discussion, information to enhance and reinforce the text, and
hands-on activities such as labs, dissections, and specimen investigation. Students will be assigned one interest-based research project per year (at least 3 pages in length).
