Description
Learn the basics, skills and concepts of accounting. We will be using QuickBooks Online to set up a service business that any teen can run with lessons that are real to life, not theory. Using real business accounting we will be opening a new company, connecting to Paypal and other banks, categorizing transactions and setting rules, chart of accounts and petty cash, service items, sales tax and service invoices, inventory product items, customizing logo and forms, setting up tags, importing lists, reconciling bank accounts, billing customers, purchases and paying vendors, inventory functions and journal entries. Lastly, students will lean how to run and read business financial reports. KDO has secured access to the Intuit Education Program, which offers complimentary access to QuickBooks Online. This class is an opportunity to advance skills in accounting with an option of a QuickBooks certification by completing an additional course and passing an exam through a third party partner, at an additional cost.

No text required.
We will be using QuickBooks for Educators and a Quickbooks manual will be provided.
Laptop - the following browsers are supported: Google Chrome version 78 or newer; Mozilla Firefox version 76 or newer. To preview and print forms on MAC OS, you will also need the Firefox PDF plugin; Microsoft Edge version 79 or newer, Safari version 12 or newer (Mac only); Opera version 68 or newer; Samsung version 10 or newer.
