Note - Registration opens at 9:00 a.m. & closes at 5:00 p.m. on the dates indicated. Registrations received outside these dates & times will not be processed.
Late fee applies for any registration received after 8/22
3/23 - 3/29: Staff, Aides & Volunteers for currently enrolled students
4/6 - 4/12: Currently Enrolled Students
4/13 - 4/17: Siblings of currently enrolled students
4/20 - 8/22: Open Registration begins at 9:ooam
KDO Academy

Requirements for Enrollment
Kindergarten:
Children entering the Kindergarten class must demonstrate the following IN ADDITION TO turning age 5 on or before September 30th of the current school year.
1. Follows rules and routines at home.
2. Sustains attention to a single task over a period of time.
3. Understands and follows simple directions.
1st Grade:
Children entering the 1st grade class must demonstrate the following IN ADDITION TO turning age 6 on or before September 30th of the current school year
1. Follows rules and routines at home and in Kindergarten.
2. Sustains attention to a single task over a period of time.
3. Recognizes all the letters of the alphabet in order.
4. Identifies basic sight words.
5. Reads and writes his/her own name.
6. Can sound out or write familiar words·
7. Understands and follows simple directions.
Please note:
There will be a three week trial period when the child starts KDO for the teacher to assess and determine if your child shows the potential ability and desire to handle the work load for that year as well as to evaluate the child's ability/desire to work well with his/her peers.
If the teacher feels that the child is not ready to enter either class, she will advise the parent(s) to wait another year before starting the child at KDO.
This decision is at the teacher's discretion and will be supported by the KDO Board (as shown in the policy).
We want to keep the KDO experience an enjoyable one for your child. It can quickly become frustrating to your child if this skill level is not present.
